Parkville Movers is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 31,118. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.2 square miles (11.0 km²), all of it land. Census Bureau maps designate the borders as I-695 from Loch Raven Blvd. to Putty Hill Ave. to the North, Putty Hill Ave. from I-695 to Fowler Ave., Fowler Ave. from Putty Hill Ave. to Hiss Ave., Hiss Ave. from Fowler Ave. to Glen Road to the East, the Baltimore City/Baltimore County border from near Glen Road to Loch Raven Blvd. to the South, and Loch Raven Blvd. from the city line to I-695 to the West. As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 31,118 people, 13,044 households, and 8,243 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 7,352.1 people per square mile (2,840.4/km²). There were 13,550 housing units at an average density of 3,201.4/sq mi (1,236.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 73.64% White, 22.48% African American, 0.16% Native American, 1.88% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.42% from other races, and 1.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.65% of the population.
There were 13,044 households out of which 28.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.8% were married couples living together, 16.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.8% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.93.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 30.4% from 25 to 44, 20.8% from 45 to 64, and 17.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
